VA 2 Cares is the charitable outreach arm of the Virginia Second Jurisdiction, Church of God in Christ, responding to urgent everyday needs through food relief, volunteer mobilization, community partnerships, and future fuel-support initiatives.

VA 2 Cares exists to provide practical support, strengthen community partnerships, and respond with compassion to families facing food insecurity, financial pressure, and limited access to essential resources.
Food Distribution Impact
Through the 2026 activation, VA 2 Cares provided meaningful food support to families during a critical season of need.
- Estimated 12,000–17,000 pounds of food distributed
- Each household received approximately 5–7 days of groceries
- Helped fill the gap between the end of summer and school-based meal support
- Designed to relieve short-term financial pressure for working families

VA 2 Cares reached families and individuals across multiple generations, including children, women, adults, and seniors.

Innovation: $6 @ 6PM Campaign
VA 2 Cares introduced the $6 @ 6PM Campaign, a community-driven micro-donation initiative designed to make giving accessible to everyone.

Program: Fueling Families Forward
In the current economic climate, families experiencing food insecurity are also disproportionately impacted by rising transportation costs. Access to food is often directly connected to access to fuel.
